Ok, most of you know, I get me a new vid card. Got me the 9700 Pro, I love it.

What are some tips to getting a higher score in 3dMark2003??

I ran it just after I installed it, got a score of 3030.

    Here are my system specs:

Dell Demension 8200 (yea I know, I didn't buy it, I just use it )
512 Ram (not sure what kind, Dell puter)
    1.9GHz Intel proc
    70 gig HD
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card
    running windows XP

If there is anything that you need to know that I left out, let me know and I will get back to you.

I want to get all that I can out of this card. I shelled the cash for it, I want to see what it can do.

I have a very low amount of money to use on a new graphics card. I just sold a ton of old computer stuff and I have about $200 and not a dollar more to spend for a new one. I'm kinda debating over a GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP 8x or a Radeon 8500. If you guys could give me your suggestions that would be great. Please under $200.

I'd say save your money and get a 9700 Pro, or till something else new that comes out and beats that card, I would say it is the card to get!

    9500 Pro for $161

If you can't go a dollar over, here's a good option. You can probably get a darn good GF4 card as well, but, seriously, if you can afford 2-Bills, you should save a little more and get the 9700 Pro you know you lust for. Or, I know I lust for. I think Best buy had a GF4 4200 for $99 today, or one of those Sunday circulars did. Pretty good bang for the buck.

You can see what the 9700's fat memory and DX9 capabilities do for this test. I got a 1467 with my GF4 4400, and my system is substantially above yours, though not a great deal.

Grimmy - I just got the 9700 Pro.
Which one? Do you like it? (He asks him knowingly)
