I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Which is a bit weird to say because it is kind of a downer. The family depicted has really been through some tough times with the passing of the wife/mother. The son and the father are both having a hard time dealing with the loss and how to relate to each other. It felt very real. There is one fairly intense scene where the father and son spar verbally, but it really is a solid film for kids 7+ IMHO. It doesn't shy away from the issue of death. I really like the hard work ethic and the strong family values shown in this film. It is the kind that gets you to laugh, cry, and get the warm fuzzies all within 2 hours. Quite worth the rental.

I rated this one 9/10.
